What this is
A breakup does not just take a person. It takes the version of you that existed around them, and the evenings are where that absence is loudest. Back to one is 21 nights of short writing, one message a night. It starts with the evidence of who you were before them. It ends, three weeks later, with the person who comes next. The hard middle looks at what actually happened. You write on your own paper, and nothing you write ever reaches us.

A breakup does not just remove a person. It removes the version of you that existed around them, the one with the plural pronoun. Your brain keeps checking because half its story went missing and it wants the file back. That is not weakness. That is memory doing its job a little too loyally.
Tonight, three minutes. Write three sentences that begin with I and were true of you before you ever met them. Not achievements. Small loyalties, strong views on chai. Start each one with the words I still... and see what your hand does.

Is this therapy?
No. It is a writing ritual written by a psychologist. If what you are carrying feels heavier than a breakup, a session is the better fit, and night 21 will say the same thing.
What if a night feels like too much?
The heavier nights carry explicit permission to skip. Skipping is part of the design and nothing about the series penalises it.
Do you read what I write?
No. The writing happens on your own paper or phone and never reaches us. The only thing we know is which night we sent you.
What happens after I preorder?
Preorders are open until 18 August. The first cohort begins on Monday, 7 September 2026, and your first night arrives that evening. If the cohort does not run, the full amount comes back to you the same week.
When do the messages arrive?
At one fixed time every night, chosen for the hour the checking usually happens. The exact time is printed in your welcome message.
Can I gift it to a friend?
Yes. The phone number entered at checkout is the number the nights go to, so a friend mid breakup can receive it directly.
