Meet Priyanka! (she/her)
Founder - Psychologist
Priyanka Varma is a mental health professional who specializes in clinical psychology, counseling and psychotherapy. She has previously trained in London and then in Mumbai. Her experience spans over 10 years where she was worked with a wide spectrum of the population. Along the way Priyanka drew towards the concepts of self-awareness and self-acceptance that are now the foundations of her therapeutic framework. She enjoys her work with young adults as they navigate the changing society triggered by technology advancement. Her research focus has been internet addiction and is now how we can use technology to better serve emotional and mental health needs of people. In addition, she is also consults at Holy Family Hospital, Global Hospitals.
Meet Zena! (she/her)
Sr. Psychologist
Zena Yarde holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and is comically serious about her own inner development and growth. Having looked up to psychologists like Jung, Rogers, and Bowlby, she uses a humanistic orientation, informed by depth psychology in her therapeutic practice. She credits a large part of her formation to her experience in working with terminally ill patients and families in the field of Palliative Care. She tries to approach each therapy session with curiosity and interest in creating something new, and believes in the transformative nature of the therapeutic alliance for the client as well as the psychologist. She continues to enjoy this journey in her own comically melancholic, comically serious way.
Meet Zahra! (she/her)
Psychologist
Zahra is a mental health practitioner with a specialisation in clinical psychology and adolescent mental health. She has completed her training in Mumbai and London. Zahra is experienced in working with children, adolescents and young adults in various clinical setups. Her research interests lie in adapting therapeutic techniques to individuals with neuro-developmental disorders. She also volunteers for NGOs aimed at social change. She believes addressing both the psychological and social aspects of an individual.
Meet Sarika! (she/her)
Psychologist - Content Head
Sarika is a mental health practitioner with a specialisation in clinical psychology. She has been a part of The Thought Co. over the past years growing from an intern, to content head and now a practicing psychologist. Sarika has also volunteered at various NGOs and worked with various populations, trying to explore different aspects of psychology for more experience and learning. She is extremely passionate about helping people and spreading awareness related to mental health. She loves spending her time talking to people, understanding different perspectives and experiences. Her goal in life is to become a psychologist and someday, open her own NGO for the underprivileged who require support for their mental health needs.
Meet Malvika! (she/her)
Psychologist
Malvika has completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology and is also an Animal Assisted Therapist and Arts Based Therapist. Before joining The Thought Co., Malvika has worked in various schools and organisations. She has worked with a diverse range of people with a wide age range from 7 years to 90 years. She has also dealt with a wide range of mental health concern like special needs, disabilities, anxiety, depression, etc. Her work mainly focuses on Emotional and Social needs. She incorporates Person Centred Approach, REBT and CBT in her therapy sessions. She believes that there should be a balance between conventional and non conventional psychology techniques. Apart from therapy sessions and counselling, she is also actively involved in developing workshops and awareness-building seminars.

Meet Aniruddha! (he/him)

A former TEDx speaker, Aniruddha Mahale is a writer who also runs the Guysexual, a portal for queer culture in the desi context.
Having previously published with Juggernaut Books, FirstPost, GQ and VICE India, he is currently working on his second novel with Harper Collins.
She/her
She, as an introspective person, finds a lot of inspiration from every experience and believes in the philosophy of subjective reality and is of the opinion that empathy is necessary to properly understand and resonate with another individual’s perspective. She is a qualified Clinical Psychologist, Animal Assisted Therapist and Arts Based Therapist. She falls in love with any and all animals she meets and her partner in life is her dog - Obliex. Nature and the outdoors really plays an important part of her life and she spends most her days on the open seas - sailing, windsurfing, scuba diving, kayaking and paddle boarding.
Meet Hasti! (she/her)
Intern
She is an intern at TTC, who has recently graduated with a degree in Psychology and is planning to pursue her Master's degree in the near future.
She has been a part of different organizations which helped her gain a more experiential understanding of mental health and how it is intersectional. Some of the areas of mental health that particularly interest her are health psychology, eating disorders and trauma. In the future, one of the topics that she wants to research about and understand is intergenerational trauma.
She continuously tries to improve her knowledge regarding this field and aspires to be a clinical psychologist in the future.
Meet Anagha! (she/her)
Intern
She is an intern at TTC, who has recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and plans to pursue a Masters in clinical psychology in the near future.
Anagha has volunteered with several organizations since 2017, to gain a better understanding of the field of mental health. She is extremely passionate about interacting and helping individuals who have experienced any form of abuse. Her key areas of interest are trauma and abuse
In the future, she aspires to be a clinical psychologist who caters to all sections of society and raise awareness regarding the importance of mental health.
